Hi, I’m Andy, the owner and lead designer behind ATB Hardscape & Design. With over 15 years of hands-on experience in landscaping and hardscaping, I’ve spent years perfecting my craft. What started as small projects for family and friends in 2008 evolved into a full-fledged passion. In 2023, I decided to take the leap and share my skills and creativity with the public by launching ATB Hardscape & Design.
When I’m not in the dirt, you’ll find me working in accounting, but my heart belongs outdoors, creating custom, one-of-a-kind landscapes that transform spaces into functional works of art. I’m dedicated to making sure every project I touch is crafted with care, attention to detail, and a personal touch. HERE'S HOW IT WORKS
Designing custom hardscapes involves a blend of creativity, functionality, and a deep understanding of your wants and needs. Here’s a basic breakdown of the process:
INITIAL CONSULTATION
Each and every project is unique and special in it’s own way, so before we start, we’ll schedule a consultation where our team can gain a better understanding of your vision, style, preferences and budget. That way, we can craft the perfect design for you.
SITE ANALYSIS
An up close and personal view of the location to evaluate the terrain, soil quality, drainage, and sunlight patterns. We’ll take measurements and note any existing elements, like trees, structures, or slopes, that may influence design choices.
CONCEPT DESIGN
We’ll put pen to paper to map out a rough sketch of the proposed hardscape, including elements like patios, walkways, retaining walls, fire pits, and more.
MATERIAL SELECTION
We help you choose materials that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also durable and suited to the local climate and area you’re looking to ‘scape. This can include stone, brick, pavers, gravel, or synthetic turf.
PLANNING FOR SUSTAINABILITY

EXECUTION
After final approval, we begin the construction phase. This includes site preparation, excavation, installation of hardscape materials, and finishing touches like lighting, planting, and clean-up.
ONGOING MAINTENANCE
We’ll provide you with a comprehensive maintenance plan that ensures your custom hardscape continues to look beautiful and function properly over time.
